An Oasis of Culture
Palm Springs Desert is the community's epicenter, with traveling exhibitions
and an extensive permanent collection. see the calendar for a run down on
the current art with a vibrant theater, as well as performing arts and special
events. Museums are open all year and admission is free from 4-8pm every
Thursday to coincide with Villagefest.

We just love to wine and dine you in our desert paradise. Our guest, both American
and International, marvel at the variety of cuisines showcased in the desert's

Family Fun
Not a two hour drive to the ocean, but just five minutes down the road is Knott's
soak City, where you will find a beach with a wave pool for body surfing,
trilling water slides, kiddie area and a Whitewater River innertube ride.
Palm Springs Gaming and Casinos
One of the hottest new "sports" in Palm Springs is gaming, with card rooms, bingo and Las Vegas-style video slots. Check out the 24-hour action at these hot spots!
Palm Springs is the jewel among desert cities and rightly so.
Its village atmosphere has been preserved and embellished over the years. The downtown area with its quaint lampposts, benches and Mexican tile--paved enclaves invites strolling among the shops, galleries, eateries and coffeehouses. Rich in history and blessed with glorious weather, it is a prime destination of travelers from all over the world.
Palm Springs Golf Information
They don't call Palm Springs the "golf capital of the world" for nothing. Not only are there more than 100 courses in the greater Palm Springs area, but they are also among the world's most beautiful. In fact, if you watch golf tournaments on television, you've already seen many of them. They star in the highly-rated network golf special.
Tennis is the sport that originally built Palm Springs. Movie stars Charlie Farrell and Ralph Bellamy began their famed Racquet Club in Palm Springs to attract their Hollywood friends. Be warned, however, the gorgeous mountains in the background may play havoc with your concentration.
A Galaxy of Stars by Night
The sleepy village of the late 1800's drew pioneers after Southern Pacific Railroad came through the desert, and their spirit and efforts created an oasis where their descendants still leave their mark. They could not have know that the '20s and '30s would bring the elite of Hollywood to "The Springs" and make the remote desert an international playground of the starts. They played hard, and many bought homes here.

flora and fauna and, of course, Joshua trees.
The active life is as much a part of the Palm Springs experience as great dining
and entertainment. The area is home to some of the world's most beautiful hiking
trails, through Indian Canyon waterfalls and majestic mountain passes. Palm

People come from all over the world to shop in Palm Springs so it's no wonder
that the merchants doing business here have the latest stock and the finest
goods.
But the big surprise is how friendly, warm and attentive these merchants are.

If you are lucky enough to have a long visit in Palm Springs, there are some
delightful nearby excursions worth checking out. Joshua Tree National Park
has mind-boggling rock formations, many species of lora and fauna and of course,
Joshua trees. The scenic drive up Route 74 from Palm Desert to the Alpine village
of Idyllwild is well worth the trip. You can venture to Anza Borrego State
Park or Lake Arrowhead. Or, you can stay by the pool and gaze at the clear
blue sky.
